When decorating a cake using either icing or frosting you need to be mindful of these few things.....
1. Crumbs from your cake must be dusted off before you frost or ice to prevent the icing or frosting from becoming chunkey or distorted....2. Frosting or icing is in fact sticky enough to hold fondant to the base or interior of the cake you are designing
3. Icing is much thicker than most frostings
4. You can shape frosting to do whatever you want with it (ex. use the tongs of a fork to create a whisp at the peak of the frosting)
5. You cannot use cake paint on frosting although you can airbrush a cake paint design if desired
6. Also you cannot use cake paint on icing (use airbrush designing)
7. Cake paint is only to be used on the smooth surface of fondant
8. And most importantly.... HAVE FUN!!!
